Physical therapy at Restore Thrive is nothing like the traditional PT experience.
There are no shared treatment tables, no aides running your session, and no insurance company deciding how many visits you get or what treatment you receive.
Every session is one hour, one-on-one, with the same licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy, fully focused on you from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave.
We are a direct-access practice, which means you can schedule your first appointment without a physician referral. In Kansas, you have the right to come straight to us — and we think that's exactly how it should be.

What Does a Session Look Like?
Your first session at Restore Thrive begins with a thorough conversation. Your provider will take time to understand your full movement and orthopedic history, your current symptoms and limitations, and — most importantly — your goals. We don't just want to know where it hurts. We want to know what you want to get back to doing.
From there, your provider performs a comprehensive physical evaluation to identify the root cause of your pain or limitation. At the end of your first session, you'll have a clear diagnosis, a customized plan of care, and a roadmap for getting back to the activities you love.
Follow-up sessions are focused on executing that plan — hands-on treatment, targeted exercise, movement coaching, and education so you understand your body and how to keep it healthy long after you leave our clinic.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral to start physical therapy? No. In Kansas, physical therapy is direct access — you can schedule your first appointment at Restore Thrive without seeing a physician first. If we determine you need imaging or a referral to an orthopedic specialist, we'll guide you in the right direction.
How is Restore Thrive different from a typical PT clinic? At most PT clinics, you share your provider's time with multiple patients and spend large portions of your session with an aide. At Restore Thrive, you get one provider, one patient, one full hour — every session. No aides. No divided attention. No cookie-cutter programs.
How long will my plan of care take? Every patient is different. Some see significant improvement in 4-6 sessions. Others with more complex or chronic conditions benefit from longer programs. Your provider will give you a realistic timeline at your first appointment based on your specific situation and goals.
What should I wear to my first appointment? Wear comfortable clothing that allows your provider to access the area being treated. Athletic wear works well for most patients.
