DR. TIM CUMMINGS, PT, DPT

Dr. Tim Cummings is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and co-founder of Restore Thrive. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2004 and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Southwest Baptist University in 2010.

Dr. Tim was the first physical therapist in Kansas City certified as a MobilityWOD Practitioner (2015) and the first PT in Kansas City certified as a MovNat Trainer (2014). He is also a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Trainer, an IMPACT Concussion Management Provider, and a Power Athlete Master Coach.

His clients include recreational, high school, collegiate, and professional athletes, CrossFit athletes, powerlifters, obstacle course racers, post-concussion patients, law enforcement, first responders, and military personnel.

Dr. Tim's athletic background includes competitive baseball, basketball, cross-country running, and performance weightlifting. He lives in the Kansas City area with his wife Dr. Jess and their three children, Aiden, Evelyn, and Connor.`

Dr. Jess Cummings is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and co-founder of Restore Thrive. She received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois in 2007 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Southwest Baptist University in 2010.

Since 2010, Dr. Jess has provided one-on-one care to patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions, logging over 400 hours of continuing education with an emphasis on differential diagnosis, manual therapy, and functional exercise. She specializes in treating chronic spine pain and injuries to the extremities.

Dr. Jess is passionate about teaching her clients about integrative medicine and lifestyle management to optimize their health and improve their healing time. Her clients include acute and chronic spine and extremity injuries, recreational and competitive athletes, and active adults who want to set a great example for their families.

She lives in the Kansas City area with her husband Dr. Tim and their three children, Aiden, Evelyn, and Connor.`

YVONNE BALL, MSPT

Staff Physical Therapist

Yvonne Ball is an orthopedic physical therapist with over 21 years of clinical experience. She holds a Master of Science in Physical Therapy and brings advanced certifications including CAFS from the Gray Institute of Applied Functional Science and 3D MAPS — 3D Movement Analysis and Performance System.

Yvonne serves as an adjunct professor at both KUMC and Rockhurst University physical therapy programs and has a special interest in sports and spine rehabilitation. She developed Restore Thrive's running assessment program and is known for her whole-person, root-cause approach to treatment.

Outside the clinic, Yvonne is passionate about the adaptive community and participates in Special Olympics city-sponsored sporting activities. She is an avid stand-up paddleboarder and pursues personal fitness through boot camp, yoga, hiking, and karate.

Yvonne lives in Lenexa with her husband John and their four children.

Director of Athletic Training

Dennis Dolan is the Head of Athletic Training at Restore Thrive and a licensed athletic trainer with over 20 years of experience. A Kansas City native, Dennis graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and Athletic Training and a Master's Degree in Kinesiology and Biomechanics.

In addition to his work as an athletic trainer, Dennis is a Power Athlete Master Coach, Pain-Free Performance Specialist (PPSC), and CrossFit Level 1 Certified Coach. He is the point person for Restore Thrive's Athletic Training Plus program — specializing in bridging the gap between rehabilitation and peak athletic performance.

Dennis has worked with high school, collegiate, and professional athletes across a wide range of sports, designing strength and conditioning programs to help athletes perform their best and return to competition after injury.

Dennis lives in Olathe with his wife Jennifer and their two sons, JP and Jack.
